The DOR Outreach and Education Calendar provides a list of meetings and conferences at which DOR employees will speak.

DOR also participates in the UK Income Tax Seminar Program, a series of tax education seminars held throughout the state.  The seminars are designed to present updates for both federal and state tax preparation for tax preparers, accountants, attorneys, insurance agents, and others.  

January 3 & 4, 2019

UK Income Tax Seminar Program, Boone County Extension Office, Burlington, KY

Designed for professional tax preparers with at least one year of tax preparation experience. This is a two-day, intermediate seminar covering individual and small business issues, including the latest changes to both the Federal and State tax laws.

New County Clerks Training, KACo Building, Frankfort, KY

From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Tom Crawford, Melissa Klink, and Luka Moore will present information related to the delinquent real property tax duties of the clerk's office.

From 11:00 am to noon Cathy Thompson and Mike Baker will present information related to the assessment of Public Service and Centrally Assessed Companies.  They will also review instructions for accessing the SharePoint site to retrieve county certifications.

Kentucky Chapter of National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP)  
The NATP will be producing a 2 hour webinar on Kentucky income tax and sales tax reform.  It will be broadcast from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Richard Dobson will speak for an hour on sales tax changes.

Kentucky State Income Tax Update Class, Pennyrile Area Community Services, Hopkinsville, KY 

This 9:00 am - 11:00 am class is for local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly TCE) group members.  Nicole Hagan, the district manager of the Hopkinsville Taxpayer Service Center, will be the lead presenter.

28th Annual Ohio Tax Conference, Hyatt Regency Columbus, Columbus, OH

From 9:30 am to 10:45 am, Department of Revenue Commissioner Daniel Bork will discuss taxation developments in Kentucky including emerging trends in taxation and technology, TCJA conformity, and the Wayfair response.  Then, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, Commissioner Bork will participate in a session titled Tax Advice for Companies Doing Business in Indiana and Kentucky.

Kentucky Tax Executives Institute (TEI) Chapter Meeting, Buffalo Trace, Frankfort, KY

The Department of Revenue will provide legislative updates to chapter members.
