U.S. Supreme Court Decision Affects State Sales Tax
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in South Dakota v. Wayfair to remove the physical presence requirement for state sales tax collection authority. Remote retailers with 200 or more sales into Kentucky or $100,000 or more in gross receipts from sales into the state will now be required to register and collect Kentucky sales and use tax. Read more about these new requirements here.
Withholding Tax Changes
There have been several changes to the withholding tax requirements for employers. These changes include lowering the electronic filing threshold for withholding statements from 100 to 26 forms and establishing a new Form K-5 to be used in lieu of submitting paper copies of withholding statements to DOR.

New PO Box for Corporate Federal Audit Adjustments
A Kentucky taxpayer who is audited by the IRS is required to send DOR a copy of the IRS "final determinations of the federal audit" within one hundred eighty (180) days of the conclusion of that audit. DOR has a new PO Box for corporate taxpayers to submit this information along with their corresponding amended Kentucky tax forms. Discover that address and additional information.
