FAQs for Agriculture Exemption Renewal Program

To Renew with the Paper Application:

Access the Application for Agriculture Exemption Renewal Form 51A801 at: Sales and Use Tax Application for Agriculture Exemption Renewal
Complete and return the application ASAP to: DOR.webresponsesalestax@ky.gov
After review and approval, you should receive the renewal letter and exemption cards by mail within 7 to 10 business days. Your renewed agriculture exemption license number remains valid through December 31, 2030.

To Renew Online:

If you do not want to complete the paper application, you may choose to renew online at MyTaxes - Department of Revenue.

To renew online, you must create an account by requesting a PIN letter in the MyTaxes portal.

Log in to MyTaxes.ky.gov and register a new account.
Navigate to Profile, then Add New Taxpayers.
Select the option "I do not have enough information about my business, and I need a PIN letter.”
On the next page, select AGRICULTURE EXEMPTION ID option and enter your Agriculture Exemption License Number.
You should receive a success message that a letter will be mailed.

Once you receive your PIN letter in the mail, you may follow the letter instructions to complete registration and renew your agriculture exemption authorization online.
