Fraud Alert: Scam Calls and Text Messages
The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) has received reports of scam calls and text messages claiming to be from the Department.
Scammers may spoof legitimate DOR phone numbers, making it appear that a call is coming from an official government number. They may also request personal, financial, or tax information.
If you receive a suspicious call or message:
Do not provide personal or financial information.
Do not rely solely on caller ID to verify the caller.
If you believe you have been targeted by a scam, report it to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office at 1-888-432-9257.
