Frankfort, KY (March 28, 2018) - Every year in March, the Kentucky Motor Boat Tax Registration/Renewal Notices are mailed to boat owners throughout the Commonwealth.
While there are a couple of minor errors on the card, the TOTAL DUE amount is CORRECT and is the amount to be paid.
There are two inaccuracies on the card. The first is in the box on the right hand side of the card. The TAX DUE line incorrectly printed $6.00 on the line. The TAX DUE line should be a total from the amounts listed under TAX JURISDICTION on the left side of the card.
The second incorrect line is on the MOTOR NAME line. All of the cards inadvertently duplicate the MAKE of the boat.
The Property Valuation Administrators and County Clerks have been notified of the issue and will collect the correct, total amount due.
DOR is working to correct these errors. We apologize for any inconvenience.
